3. Bike handling

What is the Moustache Code?

An inviolable label containing a unique identification number (Format: “MC12345678”) paired with the bike's serial number. It is affixed behind the chainring on “J” models or on the seat tube on all other models manufactured after November 1, 2023.

⚠️ In France, your bike is linked to the email address you provided to the store: therefore, the Moustache account must use this same email address.

What are the benefits for the consumer?

Only 5% of stolen bikes are returned to their owners, due to inability to identify them. This innovation makes it easy to find the owner of a bike previously registered in a Moustache account by its owner!

Facilitated recovery: Any well-intentioned individual who finds a bike can contact the owner anonymously by scanning the QR code. This feature is only available once the owner has declared their bike as “Lost/stolen” from their Moustache account.

International : A simple scan of the QR CODE allows you to read the bike's status (Inactive, In service, Lost/stolen, For sale) and this, without any border limitations!

Secure : When reselling the bike, the consumer can prove they are the owner by changing the bike's status to “For sale”: the buyer can then scan the QR Code to read the public status of the bike.

If your bike is stolen, all is not lost!

Because we know that every cyclist's nightmare is having their riding companion stolen! Moustache redoubles its efforts to find solutions so that your precious bike remains in your possession. For this, in case of theft or loss, anyone finding a Moustache bike can send a message to its owner anonymously by scanning the QR code displayed on the label.
