Good news for Moustache riders, Bosch has just unlocked a new dimension of power for its Performance Line CX Gen 5 motors. With this free update via the Bosch eBike Flow app, you can now reach up to 100 Nm of torque and 750 W of power. Enough to push the limits of riding…!
And guess what? Our GAME 150 and GAME 160 are compatible with this update. Designed to withstand the most extreme efforts, the GAME becomes even more formidable with this power gain. Thanks to its longer chainstays, the GAME's geometry perfectly matches this power boost, offering even more traction and grip on the rear wheel without wheeling!

Can your bike benefit from this update?
An update is available for Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 (BDU38) motors but also Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 (BDU37).
- BDU38 motors (installed since October 2024) fully benefit from the update with 100 Nm / 750 W.
- BDU37 motors also benefit from the update, but with torque remaining at 85 Nm, while gaining access to the new eMTB+ mode with a 400% boost.
No need to go to a workshop: everything is done from your smartphone, with the Bosch eBike Flow app.
Here are the steps:
- Download / open the Bosch eBike Flow app
- Connect your bike via Bluetooth
- A message appears: “Update available”
- Click on “Download & Install”
- Once installed, adjust the assistance levels to reach 100 Nm / 750 W if you have a BDU38
Remember to activate custom mode in your bike's settings to fully enjoy the upgrade.
Operation time: less than 2 minutes, stopwatch in hand!
More power = more vigilance
This power boost is exhilarating, that's for sure. But it comes with a few precautions to keep in mind to preserve your SmilingMachine ;-{D
Range: more torque also means more consumption. If you push the 100 Nm to the max, you will notice a faster decrease in your range. To preserve your battery level, play with the assistance levels and adapt your effort according to the terrain.
Drivetrain: With increased torque, drivetrain components (chain, cassette, rollers) are put under greater strain. It is therefore recommended to perform regular maintenance and adopt suitable riding: fluid pedaling, anticipated gear changes, and rational use of maximum assistance.
These reflexes help preserve the lifespan of your drivetrain while fully enjoying your motor's performance!

The eMTB+ mode is the icing on the cake. It doesn't just give you more power… it intelligently reacts to your pedal stroke:
