Understanding the settings: 4 key parameters

Via the eBike Flow application, each assistance mode can be personalized very simply. But before giving our recommendations, it's important to remember the functions of these 4 essential parameters that will determine your motor's behavior :

1. TORQUE (Nm) — raw power

This is the force the motor applies to the wheel. The higher the torque, the easier the bike climbs and effortlessly overcomes obstacles. The lower it is, the easier the bike is to control and the more progressive it is. This is the key setting for the bike's behavior.

2. ASSISTANCE (%) — amplification of your effort

This is what Bosch calls “support”. With 600% assistance, the motor multiplies your effort up to 6 times. Concretely, the harder you pedal, the more the motor helps you, and the higher the %, the more the effort is amplified. This is the overall level of assistance.

3. POWER (W) — the pushing potential

The maximum power (up to 750W) is the product of torque and pedaling speed; it reflects the total energy potential to be transmitted to the rear wheel. Power offers a sportier feel and stronger acceleration. Conversely, with less power, the response is smoother, steering is more fluid, and the bike's behavior is more natural.

4. DYNAMICS — the motor's character

This is the most subtle setting... and often the most underestimated. It defines how power is delivered:

  • low dynamics → gentle and progressive assistance
  • high dynamics → lively and responsive assistance

This is what makes the difference between an easy and reassuring bike and a playful and nervous bike.


85, 100 or 120 Nm: how to choose?

100 Nm — THE BALANCE

If you are used to riding regularly and taking varied rides, 100 Nm is the best compromise. This torque offers a versatile setting, combining power and control.

120 Nm — THE PERFORMANCE

Are you experienced, do you ride in the mountains and like to attack? The 120 Nm is for you! With it, you will experience maximum power and sensations. Be careful, this setting is technically more demanding due to riding speed and more energy-intensive.


Extended Boost: cross obstacles without thinking

With the Extended Boost, the motor continues to push for a few moments after you stop pedaling.
