How to clean my bike transmission?
The chain and transmission are the first components to wear out on a Moustache electric bike. A clean and properly lubricated chain reduces friction and wear, resulting in more efficient power transmission and quicker, quieter gear changes.

Apply a specific detergent to your transmission, making sure not to touch the brake pads.

Slowly turn the pedals clockwise to pass the chain through the brush, removing dirt and oil residues.
(If the pedals are turned counterclockwise, the chain won’t move and the pedals will turn without engaging.)

Use a clean cloth to remove the excess detergent from the chain.

Next, apply a suitable lubricant along the entire length of the chain, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
Avoid getting lubricant on the brakes. Wipe off any excess lubricant with a clean cloth. Be careful not to apply too much, as it can attract more dirt.
